Bound in DC holds a very special place in my heart. Back in the late 90s at the circle bar in Dupont Circle I discovered a whole new world. I had heard about it from my boss at the outcall stripping place I worked. She doubled as a Dominatrix; I didn't even know what a Dominatrix was back then. All I knew was these stories she would tell me about the stage shows intrigued me. I wasn't ready to delve into the scene, I went mostly for the music while occasionally catching a glance of the debauchery. Back then I fantasized about submitting to the beautiful powerful women I would see there all decked out. I looked up to them as Goddesses, I would never have even imagined I would one day become one of them!
Eventually I entered, balls deep. I did my first stage show at Bound to a packed house. I've had lots of amazing experiences at their events. Like all good things, Bound came to an end. In April, they brought it back after a 4 yr hiatus. I was thrilled when they asked me to serve as HeadMistress, as I had been looking to start spending more time in DC and what a perfect excuse!
The theme was Alice in Wonderland which was a bit hard for some of the old-timers as it reminds us of the death of someone who was an integral part not only of Bound and the DC nightlife at large, but of this theme in particular.
One of the things I've always loved about DC is how much people go all out for the themes. I'm not one to get into costume, but I like to see other people get creative with their outfits. There's none of the snobbery that is so overwhelming & off-putting at many fetish events. Perhaps part of this is that Bound really doesn't call itself a fetish event per se. It's a place for people of all walks of life and kink to express themselves however they see fit and I like that.
The club was packed but not so much that one felt stifled. The space was just the right size for the amount of people that were there. The music courtesy of DJs Hardware, Neska and Mindcage, was great. Getting drinks was not an ordeal and it didn't break my wallet. There was a back room for play scenes that was separate so people who wanted to dance didn't have to worry about being hit with whips. I did a nice corporal scene that included a good warm up with floggers of increasing weight then finished my sub off with a solid single tail whipping that left beautiful marks. They looked like angel wings
Afterwards I had a couple women come up to me to be dominated. One wanted to feel the single tail, another wanted her first flogging. It was all very cute. My sub from earlier borrowed one of my floggers to give another lady her first flogging which ended up being really emotional for her. We both gave her some aftercare back stage so she could come down in private, away from the crowd. Her eyes were dancing, something in her had come alive. It was one of those moments I don't see very often and is a beautiful thing every single time.
I had invited some local DC Dominas as my guest to check out the event and they all had a great time. There were also some performances including a burlesque dancer and a sword dancer. Overall it was apparent that everyone involved had worked hard to make the night a fun, memorable and welcoming experience. Even though I barely knew anyone there I still had a great time.
At the end of the night I met a man who I had been noticing all night long and with whom I am now totally smitten. It's funny that after years of on-line dating I met someone out in the real world the way it used to be done! Who knew?!!
Come to Bound Friday June 21st at Phase One at Dupont, 1415 22nd St NW, Washington DC. The theme is Military. Come in costume, all black, hang out, watch the entertainment and maybe even meet someone exciting and new!
